Excerpt from Taking A Chance
Andre poured Chance his usual, a Vodka Tonic with a twist and at the same time, turned his head and gave a nod down at the other end of the bar to a cute guy sitting alone, nursing a drink. Chance’s eyes followed Andre’s gaze and they landed on their mark.
Their gazes met for a brief second before the guy looked away towards the dance floor. He was a total cutie, but looked a little out of place. Chance looked back at his friend.
“He ordered one of these,” Andre divulged, sliding the drink to Chance.
“Huh,” Chance said, giving the brown hair, brown-eyed cutie a long once over. He emptied his glass in one gulp, asked Andre for two more, and drifted over to the hottie sitting alone at the end of the bar.
“Can I buy you a drink?” He asked in a low, seductive tone of voice.
The young man looked up and shook his head, but Chance stood his ground watching as he noticed the guy looking him over, his eyes widening as his gaze drifted down his long torso. He stared, lips slightly parted, taking a gulp as his gaze centered on the outline of Chance’s cock. After an awkward pause, he agreed. “Uh, sure, I’ll have a…”
“Vodka Tonic with a twist?” Chance interrupted and handed the glass to Ethan. A little smirk formed at the edge of the man’s mouth. He had him.
“How did you…?”
“Lucky guess,” Chance lied even as he looked back towards the bartender who smiled, shaking his head.
Chance’s eyes roamed over the other man’s small, taut, yet muscular body. He was a contradiction; sweet and hot at the same time. He had soft brown hair that Chance wanted to run his hands through and dark brown eyes and pink, pouty lips that looked like they needed to be kissed. He licked his own lips. “How long have you been here?”
“Um, just a couple of days. I’m staying at a hotel a few blocks away and…”
“No, babe,” Chance let out a throaty chuckle, “I meant, how long have you been sitting here all alone?” Chance placed his hand over the shy young man’s, rubbing it.
“Oh,” Ethan blushed, looking away. “Not long.” God, he was adorable. Chance just wanted to lick him.
“What’s your name, sexy?” Chance persisted, confident he’d get what he wanted in the end.
“Ethan.” He interrupted again, letting the name slip off his tongue. “Chance,” he replied. Chance didn’t do last names.
“Chance?” Ethan raised his eyebrow.
“As in take a chance.” Chance winked, motioning to one the tables.
