Mid Week Tease: A Story of Chase and Aidan

Hi Lovelies! I’ve been absent for quite some time but I’m now back again with Mid Week Tease. 🙂 I’m here with a bit of an excerpt still from my recent release, Character Obsession, with its main characters, Chase and Aidan.

Aidan couldn’t take his eyes off Chase’s soft, milky skin and the way the man complied to whatever was done to him. A tiny prick stabbed at Aidan’s heart. Chase wasn’t really one to comply easily, he was hardheaded, and Aidan would give anything to have his stubborn boyfriend back again.

“How are you feeling? Are you in pain?” Aidan looked sadly at Chase’s sleeping form, stroking a hand through his hair. “Are you dreaming, Chase? What’re you dreaming of? Is it me?”

Another night had come and all was quiet, save for the softly beeping machine monitoring Chase’s heart.

“I miss you so much. When will you come back? Why don’t you open your eyes and tell me?”

Aidan thought he should be thrilled, hysterical even, when those lids flittered, quivering ever so subtly, like a pair of frail, wet wings of a butterfly that was struggling out of its cocoon. Aidan wondered if he was supposed to jump around the room when those eyes, confused and watery, opened, blinked slowly, and eventually met his. All he could do was grasp Chase’s hand tightly and sniff and smile and sob and laugh as bliss and uncertainty washed over him. “Chase,” Aidan cracked out the only words he could utter. “Oh God. Chase, you’re awake.”

This story is one of my favorites. Chase suffers quite a lot here, though. Here are some places you can get the story:
