Today, May 17th, is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. Groups around the world will be celebrating the day in various ways and you can follow it all through the IDAHOT page: http://www.dayagainsthomophobia.org/
Personally, I haven’t done a lot for LGBT world. I just offer my work, my MM stories, for anyone, LGBT, LGBT allies, and the future MM story fans to enjoy, and once in a while help a cause by offering those stories of mine. I wish I could do more, but the environment I’m in, the country where I live, is not too conducive for either LGBT people or LGBT allies to openly voice their opinions. To be honest, homophobia is still very much alive here with religious background as one of the reasons. I’m also not sure if the place where I work will support me or not. I can only spread words to people close to me who I think are open-minded to LGBT life by telling them about the stories I have written or showing them other work by other authors. I want to show them how love, no matter who you love, is beautiful. I also want to say to them in my own way that it is not our concern who other people love. If that makes them happy, so be it.
To show my further support, I’d like to share with you two e-book copies of How Long Will I Love You and A Home for Jesse to two lucky winners. Please enter the Rafflecopter below.
